Have you ever wondered what it would be like to redo your life or even just certain parts of it . I know myself I certainly do. What I missed out especially in my teenage to early 20s . Things we miss due to what we thought was the best decision or out of fear of failure.
Sometimes life is all about second chances especially in cases like this anime.
Re:life is based on a web comic of the same name created by Yayoiso.
The story revolves around a 27 young man who has recently made unemployed after quitting his claiming that it’s because it “does not fit his highest potential”. As a result of this action, he finds it difficult to gain a full-time job at another company and instead he works as a part-timer at a mini market. One day, a mysterious man named Ryo offers him a new employment prospect but first he needs to become a tester for ReLife: a scientific experiment to make him look like he’s 17 again and attend high school for one year. After the year ends they will forget about anything he said or did .
There he will be put to the test to see if he help others around him using the experience he’s learned over the years to make sure others don’t repeat the same mistakes that he made.
This series really spoke levels to me. The way the series deals with serious topics from pressure to have sex to bullying. All topics are dealt with in a mature fashion that you rarely see shows deal with the issues this way. The humor is on point and doesn’t distract you from the concept of the show. The biggest thing about the show was the twist of why characters are involved with the program.
Overall I give this series 5/5 youth pills
